Newly-published books

[Book: 'Knitting Season' by Kate Davies] [Book: 'Simple Crocheted Hats' by Vanessa Mooncie] [Book: 'Darning' by Hikaru Noguchi]

I'm loving the design on the cover of Kate Davies' new book, Knitting Season. You can't really see from the picture, but it's a tunic, so quite long. I'm thinking that I'd wear it with leggings and a long-sleeved t-shirt.

Simple Crocheted Hats by Vanessa Mooncie also had me at the cover photo. I'm not sure I'm cool enough to pull off the slouchy look, but it's worth a try, right? This book is going on my wish list for that design, and also for a peaked cap inside and some very classy illustrations of each hat.

Darning is not strictly a book about knitting or crochet, but probably all crafters could do with some knowledge of the techniques. I found Hikaru Noguchi's photographic tutorials clear, so hopefully with this book I can add a little finesse to my mending.
