Newly-published books

[Book: 'Socks From Around Norway' by Nina Granlund Sæther] [Book: 'Honey Bunny Amigurumi Dress-Up Doll' by Linda Wright] [Book: 'Keeping Sheep and Other Fiber Animals' by Janet Garman]

Nina Granlund Sæther's Socks From Around Norway includes 40 designs inspired by Norwegian folk art. She includes useful information on sizing, heel and toe options, and tutorials for the colorwork techniques used in the book. Despite only ever having made one complete pair of socks, this book is going on my wish list—one day I'm going to be a sock knitter and I want to be prepared.

If I had small people to make for, Honey Bunny Amigurumi Dress-Up Doll by Linda Wright might well find its way onto my crochet list. Honey is a busy bunny and has a wardrobe to match: she can be ready to garden, fix the electrics or become a super-hero at a moment's notice.

Janet Garman's book is neither about knitting or crochet but there's more to the fiber arts than yarn and needles. Do you ever daydream about Keeping Sheep and Other Fiber Animals? This book will tell you some of what's involved in making those dreams a reality.
